Unfortunately, our keyboard player Walter has decided to leave us. Magion is rapidly becoming more time-consuming for all members and Walter can not combine playing in Magion with his other activities.

We've been playing with Walter for a long time now, and we will miss his enthousiastic playing approach during gigs and rehearsals, and his ability to make everybody laugh when we needed that. Walter will play with us one more time at our gig during the MidWinterFair, so we would like you all to come and give Walter a proper goodbye gig!

Still, the band will continue and so we're looking for a new keyboard player to join us. We need someone with quality equipment and good playing abilities. We are planning to work with backing tapes in the future, so the new player should be able to work with click tracks. Interested? Times are interesting for Magion right now. We had a great gig at the Summer Darkness festival, where there was a solid crowd, even though it was only 1 in the afternoon when we played. Thanks go out to everyone who was there for coming, to the festival organisation for running everything smoothly, and to our friends with Annatar and Mindfields for sharing the stage with us!

Now we are looking towards the future. The recording process for our debut album is in full progress. All drums and guitar recordings have been completed, with bass and keys soon to follow. The people at Excess Studios are working hard to give us a great sound, and you can be damn sure they're succeeding! ;) Everything sounds awesome so far, and we're sure once Myrthe tops everything off with some nice vocals it will be nothing short of amazing. We are expeciting to finish recording in the autumn, so stay tuned for this!

With the recording process underway, we're sure you're craving for some more short-term news as well, and we're happy to oblige! We will be playing in Musicon two weeks from now, with Conorach and theNAME supporting us. So come out and see us! We hope to be able to announce more dates shortly.
